Q3. I am not interested in the matchmaking process for matrimony, but I would like to make friends with lovely people out there whose profiles are given on the website. Can I use this website for the purpose of friendship or dating etc. 
A3. No, you may not. This web site is only meant for the purpose of matchmaking for matrimony.

Q4. I am interested in becoming a registered member of your web site. What is the next step that I should take? 
A4. Click the registration link on the home page of the site and fill up simple one page registration form to create your user id and password. With this done you are ready to take the next step to apply for free membership scheme of the web site.

Q6. Will this information be disclosed to other members or visitors to the web site?

Q8. How do I come to know that I have registered successfully for the web site?

A9. You can opt for any of the choices. You can either complete the profile information forms in the same session or use your user id and password to login again subsequently in your My Profile section to fill up profile information forms and apply for free membership of the web site.

Q10. What information do I have to provide to apply for free membership scheme of the web site? 
A10. You have to provide information to create personal profile and expected partner's profile. (These profiles are matched by the computer to generate partial matches and perfect matches, details of which can be viewed by you in your customized My Account section.) Besides the personal and partner profiles, some information about the family background and your views is also required. Photograph and horoscope can be uploaded optionally. (Profiles with photographs stand much better chances of responses from prospective partners)

Q11. I have applied for free membership scheme by filling up the required online forms. Where and how do I see my information in the prospective brides and grooms list on the site? 
A11. The summary of the latest three registered profiles are shown on the home page of the web site in a tabulated manner. You can click the link of the user id and see the details of the profile created by you. Subsequently, as other latest profiles come in you can view your profile by using search by user id. 

Q12. When after applying for free membership, I immediately viewed details of my profile either from the home page table link or from search using user id, I found that only part of the information is displayed in the detailed section? What happens to the remaining information that I don't see and why does it happen this way? 
A12. Some information is immediately released, while the other will be released within 24 to 48 hours after screening of that information for appropriateness. This screening includes text entered as description in text boxes, photograph and horoscope. Release of this information in your profile means that you have successfully obtained free membership scheme of the web site.

Q14. I have obtained the free membership scheme. How long will my free membership last? 
A14. Your free membership is given for a period of one year from the date of registration. After the expiry of one year period your free membership will cease and the data that you have uploaded will be removed. You have the option of renewing your free membership for one more year by sending an e-mail to admin@saraswatmatch.com any time in the last one month of your membership, before the last date of expiry. 


Paid Membership

Q15. I have found partial and /or perfect matches in the customized My Account section. I need to get in touch with them. I don't find contact details of the matches. How do I get in touch with them? 
A15. Saraswatmatch.com does not provide contact details of any individuals to any other members. If you need to contact any of the matches you have to upgrade from free membership scheme to one of the three value added paid membership schemes.

Q16. How do I upgrade from free membership scheme to one of the value added paid membership schemes? 
A16. Select from one of the three value added paid membership schemes, using one of the payment options pay the membership fees and have your paid membership activated for the chosen period.

Q17. Which are the three paid membership schemes? 
A17. The three value added paid membership schemes are: 

1. Silver Membership - Duration of Membership 3 Months - Rs. 500/- or US $ 25. 

2. Gold Membership - Duration of Membership 6 Months - Rs. 800/- or US$ 35.

3. Platinum Membership - Duration of Membership 12 Months - Rs. 1500/- or US $ 45.

A18. All facilities of free membership as given at serial number 2 above. Facilities to initiate contact with members whose profiles match ones requirements. Customized facility to track details of all members who have contacted the said member or who have been contacted by the member. Facility of online customer support to contact back office of the web site in case of any queries or problems etc. Facility to hide or unhide the profile temporarily.


Q19. Can you explain about the manner in which as paid member, I can contact any other partial or perfect match? 
A19. Take following steps:

• Login into My Account section of the web site with your User ID and Password. 

• Click on the User ID link of the match to be contacted in the table of summary of matches 
  (web page containing detailed profile of the match opens). 

• Initiate contact with the match by ticking the check box at the end of the detailed profile web page and click the Initiate Contact Button

(this sends an e-mail at the mail address of the match informing him / her about your interest in the individual. Also, in My Account section of the web site the summary of this person as a number will get added to Number of People Who Contacted You). 

• The match with whom you have initiated the contact can accept or reject your proposal of interest in his / her profile.

• If the match accepts your offer of interest in him / her, Messaging Center gets activated and you get a button Click here to Send a Message to 'match name' at the end of the detailed profile of that person.

• Using Draft Message link in the Messaging Center send a text message to the match to get in touch with you (as for example, one can exchange e-mail address or telephone number or address of a common place where a meeting between the two parties can be organized etc.)

Facilities on the Web site and Types of Users 

Free Search : Any lay user / casual visitor / prospective member to the site can carry out search for prospective partner based on any one of the following types of searches:

• Simple Search: Carry out search on age bracket, caste and country.

• Advanced Search: Carry out search for expected partners profile in details like age, caste, language, country, state, smoking, drinking and diet habits, education level, profession etc. 

• Quick Browse : Carry out quick search for religion, country or profession.

• By User Id: Displays personal and expected partner's profile for a User Id.

Free Registration : Any lay user / casual visitor to the web site who intends to opt for Free Membership is required to register with the web site. This registration process involves filling single registration form. The information needed is name, contact address details, telephone / fax numbers, choice of user id and password and e-mail address. This information is never disclosed to any other member by saraswatmatch.com. Successful free registration creates My Account for the individual. 

Free Membership : My Account section allows the registered member to fill details in My Profile sub-section which includes information such as that of personal profile, partner profile, optionally upload photograph and horoscope. Proper filling of My Profile section creates Free Membership of saraswatmatch.com. Some part of the information is released immediately on to the web site, whereas other part is released after scrutiny at the back office for appropriateness. This information under My Profile section can be filled in and uploaded simultaneously along with the creation of My Account immediately after Free Registration or can be filled in the interactive forms subsequently. Information submitted as part of Free Membership will stay on the Internet for a period of one year, after which it will be automatically removed. After one year one may renew Free Membership for one more year by registering again. 

When a registered member finds partial or perfect matches in the My Account section of the web site and wishes to communicate with the matches, the member has to upgrade to any one of the value added paid membership schemes. 

My Account : An interactive section (module) with controlled access for registered members which has a number of sub-sections (sub-modules) such as Messaging Service, Customer Support (Help), Profile Management, Account Management and customized details for every member of Personal Profile Matches, Partner Profile Matches, Perfect Profile Matches and the number of individuals who contacted the member or were contacted by the member. Few features/facilities of this section are not available to individuals who have opted for Free Membership schemes.

Paid Membership Schemes - When any individual of Free Membership scheme wishes to contact any of the matches, it can be done by opting for one of the three Paid Membership schemes.
